BLEACH LONDON

Bleach know hair and makeup very well; their instagram is filled with bright, bold, colourful and pastel hair shades constantly. They dare to pair the unthinkable colours together and also add a little bit of hidden colours for those whose jobs don’t allow ‘unnatural’ colouring.

Bleach have four salons now dotted around London: Dalston - Kingsland Road (their first), inside Topshop at Oxford Circus, Soho - Berwick Street and have recently opened one up in Brixton.

This year saw them introduce new hair and makeup products to die for, which are all cruelty free and vegan! They took inspiration from their first hair dye colour range and used them to start off the colours for the make-up side. For instance some of the lip kits have the same name as their hair counterparts.

As someone that constantly dyes their hair and experiments with make-up heres some of our fave products:

Reincarnation Mask // HIGHLY RECOMMEND! For those that bleach and dye a lot this treatment leaves your locks feeling lush after harsh treatments.

Legal High-Lights in Blullini // Holographic goodness. A highlighter that gives you a holographic glow but doesn't make your face look too blue. This is one of our personal faves! Great for those who want to start experimenting more.

Smokey Shampoo // For those wanting grey without the lilac tones. I’ve used both this and silver shampoo, both of which help to tone your hair to a grey colour, but this new addition gives you a nice ashy grey. ONLY if its light enough first, if not it won’t work.

Leave it, Yeah // Great for those (me included) whose hair gets tangled easily after washing. Just shake, spray, comb through and voila goodbye knots and tangles!

Lip Kits // On par with Kylie’s. They stay on through food and feels nice. The matte texture doesn’t dry your lips out or give them a flakey look after application.

Fade to Grey // Granny hair of dreams. It makes your hair a nice dark granny grey, without any lilac undertones like a silver shampoo. It is not permanent tho, so smokey shampoo will help to keep up appearances and make your granny rinse last a lot longer.

Louder Powder // Cheap, cheerful & pigmented. Nice little eyeshadow palettes ranging in numerous amounts of colours. Treat yourself to a ‘Build Your Own Palette’ to keep the pans all together. It also works with the other highlighter and contour pans too, so the extra £2 for the larger palette is worth it.

Super Cool Colours // These dyes are great for a quick fix of colour but once again your hair needs to be light enough for some of these colours to properly come out in your hair. Colours like ‘Washed up mermaid’ and ‘bullini’ tend to wash out and leave greens behind so by using ‘the big pink’ and ‘rose’ or even the ‘rose shampoo’ you can help to get rid of them a lot easier. I’ve found that ‘awkward peach’ works better when you have more yellow undertones, if your hair is on the whiter side it might just end up leaving your hair more pink rather than peach.
