Said Dal 1923 chocolate factory was converted into a laboratory/shop and café in 2006.The chocolate, is exhibited in jars and packaging on the large communal counter tables. Pralines, truffles, chocolate spread, pastries, cakes, brownies all tempt from across the counter.

 

The hot chocolates range from £2.50 – 6.00, milk. White and dark, all with the option to have more chocolate dripped around the outside of the cup.However the opinion on the hot chocolate was pretty divided. One of us found the hot chocolate to be too rich and unable to finish. However the other personally didn’t find it rich at all. The hot chocolate is in a proper Italian style, thick and not overly sweet.We did both feel that £4.50 for a regular hot chocolate, which comes in a small cup, were over priced.

 

So if you decide to go, and soak up the cosy Italian vibes bear in mind the hot chocolate is pretty pricey, but the cakes, and pastries are reasonably priced.
