V&A
The V&A is situated round the corner from both the Natural History Museum and the Science Museum, which creates a nice little cultured environment in the middle of Kensington. It holds for 2.3 million objects that span over 5,000 years of human creativity. It also holds resources and studies of architecture, furniture, fashion, textiles, photography, sculptures, paintings, jewellery, glass, ceramics, book arts, Asian art and design, theatre and performance.
We personally love how well the sculptures photograph. They create a nice atmosphere and, like the Saatchi, you can get up close to capture every very little mark and colour that is visible. The whole building is nice to photograph too, with high ceilings, long corridors paired with marble accents. You can view the architecture from high up too, allowing you to get a nice feel for how the room is decorated through the use of marble and sculptures.
Entry is free so pop down and visit the marble gloriousness that is waiting to greet you when you enter!
